@JamesCleverly Festival? You’ve treated your whole time in government likes it’s some kind of party. If you’d taken things a little more seriously you might not be packing your bags tonight
@Ali04906009@vinted I’ve had exactly the same thing - have supplied the bank statement and now they’ve decided I also need to go into my bank to get a signed letter from the bank to prove I’ve not had the money, even though this can clearly be seen on my bank statement.
@NickFletcherMP Our constituency in Gloucester is also strewn with litter and overflowing bins. I would have raised it with my local Conservative MP @RichardGrahamUK but he blocked me for daring to praise him on his anti-spiking work and asking for his thoughts on Cleverly’s comments.
@JohnnyMercerUK My husband served for 24 years, his transition was a CV writing course straight out of the 1980s & a round of job fairs with jobs in only energy, truck driving or warehousing. Start your support with decent transition, then veterans wouldn’t need to rely on charities.
@brizy83@dave43law My local MP @RichardGrahamUK took the trouble to respond to my comment on his tweet, by blocking me. I’ve taken it as exactly this, that he condones those “jokes”, which is really sad when he’s been at the forefront of driving for change in spiking & date rape laws
@womensaid I’d hoped to be reassured that views of @JamesCleverly were not mirrored by my local MP, @RichardGrahamUK . Unfortunately, rather than respond with professionalism, or even not at all, he chose to block me. That narrows down the conclusions I can draw on his personal views!
@YvetteCooperMP I’d hoped to be reassured that views of @JamesCleverly were not mirrored by my local MP, @RichardGrahamUK . Unfortunately, rather than respond with professionalism, or even not at all, he chose to block me. That narrows down the conclusions I can draw on his personal views!
@ShipBrief I’ve been blocked this morning by my local MP @RichardGrahamUK for asking (quite politely I thought!) for his thoughts, given that he’s been at the forefront of recent work on changing the law around this. Tells me quite a lot about his personal views too!
@thatginamiller My local MP, @RichardGrahamUK , blocked me after asking him how @JamesCleverly’s comments undermine his great work on drink spiking laws. Genuinely confused now as to what that tells me about the personal views of my MP, on a matter that he has been such a great champion for?
I tweeted @RichardGrahamUK this morning with a genuine request for his response and genuine praise for his work on drink spiking - this was the response received…..
@RichardGrahamUK@JamesCleverly Please could you explain why you blocked me? Is this the stock response to one of your constituents asking a legitimate question on a subject of great personal interest?
@RichardGrahamUK As one of your local constituents, I’ve been following your brilliant work on this serious issue with interest. Please could you share your thoughts on @JamesCleverly very pitiful attempts at humour, that do so much to undermine your fantastic efforts?
@tabloke@DeanoWilso@doctor_oxford@JamesCleverly I don’t think it needs to be stated that he’s stupid - that’s already clear. He was in his place of work though, however ‘off the record’, and whatever your job and wherever you work, all staff are expected to be clear on what is acceptable behaviour in the workplace. This isn’t.
@JamesCleverly “We want them to feel welcome and made to feel part of the community they move into” - as long as they don’t bring their families that is.
@JamesCleverly Struggling to understand how someone asking for clarification on your vague statement is repeatedly seen as opposition? Isn’t it a valid question to ask why these high skilled workers would come here without their families?
