We are deeply saddened by the passing of Orioles minority owner Wayne Gioioso, Sr.
Mr. Gioioso was a successful businessman, leader in his community, and passionate supporter of his hometown team. Our hearts go out to his family and friends at this time.
On roster cutdown day, Tylan Wallace sat in his car in the parking lot at the Ravens facility, phone in hand, hoping it wouldn’t ring with bad news. On Sunday, he became one of the unlikeliest of Ravens’ heroes.

@michaelchabon Here is a picture of me with a young customer of mine, Christopher, celebrating his 12th birthday on June 18th, 1980, which would make him 54 in 12 days. Must have been busy since the previous days receipts are still in my shirt pocket as I hadn’t gone to the bank yet lol
@michaelchabon Great to hear from you Michael. 1) This is a picture of me, however it was taken at a New York comic convention. 2) I believe it was between 1980-81. 3) I believe that was the driveway but I’d have to check Google Earth. 4) see attached.
@michaelchabon @kevinowens72_g I purchased the Silver Spring store, and you are correct it was my second store, from the late Mark Feldman, who used to own the Imagination Bookshop which was at a different location. The original Geppi’s Comic World of Silver Spring was at 8407 Georgia Ave. upstairs from a bank.
@michaelchabon Michael, the original location was at 612 1/2 Edmonson Avenue, Baltimore Maryland, 21228. I opened the store on July 1, 1974. For a number of years, it was in the basement, and later moved upstairs. What else would you like to know?
