@TonyLeonSA You say “woke” as if it’s derogatory. To “awake” and see how cruelly society abuses most for the benefit of a few is to start regaining humanity and empathy. Being “ woke” means being a better human being. You should try it within yourself sometime.
Thank God I’m South African.
And a message to the boets who think Trump’s success gives you license to be a racist, sexist, homophobic doos - remember those rights are already enshrined in our constitution.
@GlynnErnesto Yes you’re right “cunt” is a very sophisticated word 🤣
Don’t say you’re not going to engage, then engage, and then resort to name-calling.
@GlynnErnesto But you’ve engaged me now. One day, like us yt SA’ns you will realise that you are on the wrong side of history. I hope the Palestians are as gracious and forgiving.
@NicDawes@KuperSimon These old “when we’s” (a term we use for old colonialists) see everything from a yt supremacist angle. Watch them carefully - their views and action are sneaky and insidious. Before you know it, their worldview will be the norm.
@NicDawes@KuperSimon I see many similarities now: police at schools; Brown and Black people having to always carry documentation, police brutality against POC, censorship, far-right groups openly marching - the list goes on.
@NicDawes@KuperSimon In SA segregation existed long before Apartheid became law. The National Party gave racism a name and a justification. The dystopia that is apartheid happens when the good people don’t speak up.
@sandibachom These people are ridiculous! And sad 😔.
And it’s frightening how they think they’re right. They must be identified and made to feel the hate they’re spreading.
