Housing affordability is probably the biggest and touchiest subject in the Eastern Sierra. Everyone is talking about how locals can get a home through restricting housing rights (banning STRs, caps, etc). But nobody is talking about how locals can make more $ to afford a home

@mortgagetruth @dtmorgan18 Reviving this because I slack on X. As it stands now with a conventional mortgage, 16% TOT, 20%+ PM fee, etc breaking even is nonexistent. I made $50k off an STR last year self managing and I was in the red a bit. There has to be a way to make it work tho
