I explained I was interested in sponsoring a dog for a young friends present but would have to get permission from her mother.

Meant her employer and secondly madam they are allowed in this particular store and most dogs behave better than the kids you allow to run riot. The parents would be the first to complain if a hot drink was spilt no doubt.
