One thing I find interesting about Axis Robotics is how much attention they’re putting into the quality of the data behind robot learning.
Not every human correction is equally useful. The recent experiments show why verified, short correction snippets can matter more than simply copying an entire human trajectory.
660 corrections were collected, but only 161 verified snippets made it into training. That focused approach pushed the average success rate from 36.7% with naive imitation to 48.3% with verified snippets.
To me, that’s a simple but important lesson: better training signals can lead to better robots.
This is the kind of progress that may not always look flashy from the outside, but it’s exactly the sort of work that can make Physical AI more capable in the real world.
