@DrDMacaskill@scottishcare Of course it hasn’t! Person centred/led support is what it should always be about. I think it’s incredible people may think differently about this. Every person who requires support must be involved in their care and support in social care or NHS care. 🤔
@neilcgray@theSNP Neil why haven’t you sorted out the disparity between the shambles that is the NHS and Social Care yet? You’ve been doing this job for a while now and there has been zero change….🤔 #socialcare#youneedus
@Justacarehomeg1 Yeh local authorities need to have a long hard look at this as the assessments coming in scream nursing and then you are told residential. Mind boggling! 🤯
@Justacarehomeg1 The care inspectorate need to go and have a word with themselves after reading this! They need reminded that they are there as a supportive mechanism as well as a regulatory body. However I hope they enjoy their time off whilst care homes do what they do best!
@neilcgray what’s your thoughts on this? Do you think the job vacancy in Renfrewshire is more important than a carers job or is that the money being paid doesn’t need to reflect importance? 🤔 looking forward to being ignored as usual.
@scotgov@COSLA@scottishcare
Getting paid more than someone who has to support someone with the majority of their life due to how vulnerable they are.Getting paid more than someone who supports a person with their last breath?Is this right @COSLA I’m sure @scottishcare would agree it’s definitely not right😞
I find this incredible and so sad! The basics of care not carried out. Now imagine this happened in a care home. The scrutiny would be unbelievable and rightly so!

@COSLA why are care homes required to purchase specific chairs for residents especially when the majority of them have significant amounts of money to purchase themselves? Why are care homes expected to buy these? 🤔
you clearly don’t know what to do to fix it. Throwing money at it isn’t solving the problem. Get back to basics. Too many tiers, streamline the NHS. Make it person centred and stop pigeonholing people to make it fit. It’s incredible that we are still in this position.
Listening to @BBCScotland and the topic is about people paying privately for ops etc due to waiting times on NHS. That’s because the consultants for the NHS also work in the private establishments. Why should people wait 3 yrs for a new hip or 1yr for cataract surgery?
The system is a joke.People who pay into the system (NI contributions)are being failed every single day.People in pain for years but are fobbed off by NHS due to their BMI being too high yet can get it done privately @neilcgray you won’t reply as usual the crisis is getting worse
@JaimeJMMcNab@RN_Freda I have had a discharge letter delivered in a taxi. 3 days after admission. I requested it be scanned to me but apparently they can’t do that. And people are wondering why there’s a big black hole in the finances of the NHS.
