Today’s Sabbath reminds us of the gift of divine rest, spiritual renewal and the freedom we find in God’s creation and grace. It strengthens our faith and teaches us to trust more fully in God’s providence and care.

I joined the great people of Murang’a County in worship at Kangema Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA), hosted by the Murang’a Fort Hall Chapter, as we celebrated the 33rd Agendi edition of Nyimbo cia Agendi Migunda-ini.

Our guest speaker, Pastor Ibrahim Kuria, President of the Central Kenya Conference (CKC), reminded us of the important place of music in worship. The celebration also coincided with the launch of the #OneVoice27 #MissionForAll initiative, which commemorates 2,000 years since the baptism of Jesus Christ and the beginning of His public ministry.

The initiative seeks to mobilize the global Church in sharing the Gospel with one unified voice, while empowering local regions, divisions and congregations to adapt their outreach to their unique communities and cultures.

I was joined in fellowship with Kiharu MP Hon. Ndindi Nyoro, Nyamira Senator Hon. Okong’o Omogeni, Borabu MP Hon. Patrick Osero, Kitutu Masaba MP Hon. Clive Gisairo, former Murang’a Senator Hon. Kembi Gitura, among other leaders.
