I also want to thank all the homeowners, builders, architects, planners, and mobility experts with whom I had long and engaging discussions about life in builder floors and the predicaments of Delhi.
My M.A. was in South Asia Studies and those who are familiar know that the theories and histories that emerge in this field are India-centric, excluding other parts of the region. The silence from popular “South Asia” scholars on what’s happening in Bangladesh screams loud.
@SnehaAnnavarapu This has been a long-standing issue in professional or practice-based education such as architecture schools. Conversely the restrictions against practicing architects continuing to teach as visiting faculty have also been damaging to the training of young professionals.
