A KSRTC Superfast bus didn’t have enough FASTag balance, so toll authorities denied entry.

The solution? The driver turned around on the high-speed track and drove nearly 3 km against oncoming traffic on the NH 66 bypass, putting not only passengers but also other road users at risk.

His defence? If drivers pay the toll from their personal UPI accounts when FASTag balances run dry, there is no official mechanism to reimburse them.
