Government of India appoints Lieutenant General N S Raja Subramani PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM (Retd.) as the Chief of Defence Staff, who shall also function as Secretary to Government of India, Department of Military Affairs, with effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.

The present Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, will complete his tenure on 30th May, 2026. ​Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani is currently Military Adviser, National Security Council Secretariat since 01st Sep 2025. Prior to that, he was the Vice Chief of the Army Staff from 01st Jul 2024 to 31st July 2025 and was General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command from March 2023 till June 2024.

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief #SouthernCommand, visited #BaldEagleBrigade to review the formation’s operational readiness.

The Army Commander visited forward areas in the Rann and Creek sectors, where he was briefed on sector-specific operational dynamics, force deployment, joint structures, and infrastructure development projects for enhancing capability, sustainability and endurance in the sector.

The Army Commander reviewed the Joint Control Centre (JCC) and visited Border Outposts of BSF where he appreciated the synergy between #BSFIndia and #IndianArmy along the Western frontier in Gujarat. He lauded the Formation’s preparedness for integrated multi-domain, multi-terrain and multi-agency operations.

Interacting with troops in forward areas, he commended all ranks for their professionalism, combat readiness and steadfast commitment in the demanding terrain. He also appreciated the Formation’s sustained focus on capability development and its forward-leaning approach to technology infusion and mission-oriented operational initiatives.

Intelligence based joint operations launched from 10 November to 16 November 2025 by #IndianArmy and #AssamRifles formations under #SpearCorps, in coordination with #ManipurPolice in the hill and valley districts of #Manipur, namely Thoubal, Jiribam and Imphal West Districts have resulted in the apprehension of 04 cadres and the recovery of 19 weapons, explosives and other war-like stores.

#SpearCorps के अंतर्गत #IndianArmy और #AssamRifles की टुकड़ियों ने #ManipurPolice के साथ समन्वय में 10 से 16 नवंबर 2025 तक #Manipur के पहाड़ी और मैदानी जिलों Thoubal, Jiribam और Imphal West में खुफिया आधार पर संयुक्त अभियान चलाए। चलाए। इन अभियानों में 04 सक्रिय कैडरों को पकड़ा गया और 19 हथियार, विस्फोटक तथा अन्य वार-लाइक सामान बरामद किए गए।

ARO Raipur Conducts Outreach Programme in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh

Under HQ Recruiting Zone Jabalpur, ARO Raipur conducted an Outreach Programme on 18 November 2025 at Shakharam Nage Degree College, Nagri, District Dhamtari.

The programme saw the participation of 12 teachers and 140 students.

Students were briefed on:
* Officer Entry Schemes (including NCC Special Entry)
* Agniveer registration procedure (all categories)
* JCO/OR Regular Cadre registration procedure
* Online CEE procedure
* Bonus marks for NCC, ITI & Sports
* Validity of Sports Certificates
* Common registration errors
* Phase-wise recruitment procedure, rally tests, and recent amendments
* Agniveer Women Military Police selection

Posters and handouts were also distributed to spread awareness about opportunities in the Indian Army.

The opening ceremony of the 8th edition of the biennial joint military Exercise AJEYA WARRIOR between the #IndianArmy and the #BritishArmy was held at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan. The exercise is scheduled from 17 to 30 November 2025.

Exercise Ajeya Warrior aims to strengthen interoperability and operational readiness, enabling both armies to conduct joint company-level operations in semi-urban terrain.

The exercise underscores the shared commitment of #India and the #UnitedKingdom to global peace and security, while further deepening #DefenceCooperation, camaraderie and mutual trust between the two armies.
