Built around a soaring chorus and Richard Hawley's distinctive guitar work, "She Said" became Longpigs' breakthrough single and helped establish the band as one of the standout acts of the mid 1990s British indie scene. Their appearance on TFI Friday in 1996 came during the rise of The Sun Is Often Out, introducing a wider television audience to one of the era's most acclaimed debut albums.

My first concert at 5 years old. They played at Roma street parklands for free.
Those were the days! 😆🙌
I thought she was weird at the time wearing a school uniform. 😅
@M_Steeples I find the whole business of poor Maddie's treatment quite disgusting, especially the way the taspas seven seem to close ranks, acting as if they and the MaCanns are part of some kind of cult.
Bob Dylan appeared on the sitcom Dharma & Greg in 1999.
In the episode, Dharma (Jenna Elfman) auditions for a garage band and discovers the guitarist is Bob Dylan. The scene was largely improvised. There is rumored to be hours of unreleased footage of them playing together.
@M_Steeples I believe NONE of the murders were connected, women were slain before the five and after, I also believe Lusk, who claimed he had a letter and kidney mailed to him, was behind the one murder, the 1800's were a fascinating period of history but also a horrible time.
“Where’s the Bloke, Darling?” – The Harry Enfield Sketch That Would Get Cancelled in 5 Seconds Flat Today 😂
Classic Harry Enfield & Paul Whitehouse sketch: Footballers interviewed by a woman doesn’t go well at all.
“Where’s the bloke, darling?”
“Where’s the bloke, love?”
“Go on, get the bloke!”
The woman calmly says “I am the bloke” and they just completely blank her, demanding the actual bloke for the proper football chat. 🤣
Repetitive, awkward, and brilliantly deadpan.
Proper old-school British comedy.
No chance they’d get away with this nowadays 😂 They’d be cancelled before the ad break.
