@mumwhocares@MichaelRosenYes Billionaires love it when normal people complain about footballers salaries.
The Premier League average is £50k per week.
It would take 20,000 weeks (384 years) to earn 'just' £1billion.
The Tories wrote off more than 15 times that (5769 years as a PL footballer) in covid fraud.
@fesshole Lots of people say it's none of their business:
1. You wouldn't shout out your PIN so others can hear.
2. Cheaters deserve to be exposed. In fact they deserve everything that's coming to them - plus some things that won't come to them because they're not legal.
@bo_jolais@AlanBradleyTram@fesshole It seems Bo cares enough to pull up just enough data to make their point but not close enough to notice that Tesco are back on top in market share growth over the past 3 years...then accuse the person they're arguing with of not understanding...then limiting responses.
@bo_jolais@AlanBradleyTram@fesshole You've literally just made the same point again.
Others have had a faster market share growth over the past 5 years but Tesco have been the fastest over the last 3 years.
@bo_jolais@AlanBradleyTram@fesshole It's not "more" relevant at all.
And even if it was, Tesco has regained their mantle as the fastest growing supermarket over the past few years.
I wish I could do "not that well" at something and be £ 2Bn profit clear of my competition.
@AlanBradleyTram@fesshole Let's just check how that's working out:
Ahh yes, £3.128Bn in operating profit for Tesco (24/25). Almost treble that of 2nd placed Sainsbury's (who use Nectar to do the same thing as the Tesco Clubcard) with "just" £1.036Bn operating profit in the same period.
@MichaelEzra@David__Osland The Overton Window has shifted so far towards right-wing authoritarianism that you can't even discuss centrist policies without being called a looney lefty.
Right-leaning (red & blue) ruling parties since the 70s.
But sure. Socialist ideology is the one being pushed on us all.
Excluding my love of United, it would be:
- Pelé. Arguably the first to add elite level athleticism to elite natural ability.
- Maradona. The purest all-natural ability player of all time.
- Ronaldinho. Played for fun. Made fun of defenders.
- R9. The Phenomenon.
Enjoying the Football Mount Rushmore posts.
Nobody's asking but mine would be:
- Cantona. The way he played made me fall in love with football.
- Rooney. Elite at any job on the pitch.
- Roy Keane. The engine room, driving standards.
- Sir Alex Ferguson. The mastermind.

@anon_opin Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Lorry drivers are working to strict targets and constraints that don't care about free-flowing traffic.
@2020Just1ce@anon_opin Far right (in purely economic terms on the political compass) is:
- Maximum privatisation
- Minimal state
- Low taxation
- Deregulation
- Anti-Union
You can't think of anyone?
@fesshole Being an Atheist simply means an absence of belief in any god/gods.
Appreciating the work of those who were inspired by their personal belief doesn't make you a hypocrite.
@markgoldbridge What the fuck are you talking about.
Top players can command top wages anywhere.
United (any club) should be interested in players who will run through brick walls to make United better - not mercenaries who don't have to work hard once the contract is signed.
