Am I the only one who instantly scrolls past Google’s AI Overview?
I still want to read actual sources, not a robot’s summary of what other people wrote.
Please tell me I’m not the only one. My faith in humanity has been beaten down enough as it is.
I don’t want an AI summary of my Google search. I don’t want an AI summary of the text message from my friend at work. I don’t want an AI summary of the email I’m about to read. Please just stop.
it doesn’t matter how old you get, nothing feels better than pointing to a dumpster or a little hole on the street and telling your friend “that’s where you live”
A major reason that it didn’t make sense to use AI to write an essay about a substantive topic is that until you write the essay you don’t actually know what you want to say or what you think. You think you do, but it is the writing itself that actually gets the thinking done.
I really admire One Nation supporters. They don't just remain quiet and let people think they're idiots. They speak up and let people know beyond any doubt.
Remember that time Greta Thunberg told Andrew Tate he had small dick energy and he got so triggered that he posted a video response revealing his location to Romanian authorities through a pizza box he used as a prop and got arrested for rape and human trafficking? I do.
They'll ban abortion to "save the children."
They'll ban books to "protect the children."
They'll attack drag queens to "defend the children."
But the Epstein files? Suddenly "protect the children" doesn't apply.
@GreatLakesWife_ Nope, not true. You’ll have bad days and bad nights and you’ll have good ones. You’ll try all different things and you won’t know what works and what doesn’t.
Being a brand new baby is a huge adjustment. And being a brand new mum is a huge adjustment. So be kind to yourself.
@GreatLakesWife_ I’m non bio mum and I’ve been able to settle our baby (18mo now) easier than my partner most of the time. Just be glad for the break when he’s got her - go and shower, eat, walk outside, anything to reclaim some time and space and self.
It’s new and hard and scary for a while
@GreatLakesWife_ I’m sure you’re not doing anything wrong. We got zero sleep the first couple of weeks. Breastfeeding took at least an hour. Some newborns are “easy” and some are really hard. Yours will be somewhere along the line between the two.
Be very kind to yourself
