Overall happy. I also tend to use #windsurf chat for quick checks as it is superfast in answering coding questions as compared to cursor. Main advantage of using only chat is, it doesn't go and change your code!!

So have been building using #cursor for over two months now. Some key learnings:
1. it really can develop good chunck of functionality.
2. You need to be good at providing clear requirements.
3. It can provide really good alternatives when prompted for.

3. Almost every time, it interprets your prompts partially, assumes a lot and immediately starts changing the code, just like a fresher or junior developer.

4. if you open a new chat window, it tends to forget the "memories" (what cursor offers to save user preferences)

pro tip while using agent to generate code: Instead of asking to write code directly, ask the agent to discuss/clarify before implementing. The ai agent has bad habit of jumping into coding as soon as a prompt is received.
