@EnjoyerPhos It sucks because like i GUESS you're a "better person" for choosing not to do it but when the game taunts you for it like. you're not meant to take it 100% seriously, it's artsy fartsy literacy stuff that's meant to make you go "Wow... what does this say about me..."
@Cephalie_@gmaniseggman1@Rayaan_Pog Yeah I feel like the Susie and ralsei solo acts (don't remember what they're called) are jarringly helpful in chapter 5
@LumaHoneyy I think it was an attempt to threaten the player, and then when Gaster yelled "aaaand scene" they were kind of like "well while I have this knife out"
@AspergersTien@FreeRosedark If device theory is correct then gaster is the closest thing to "real" there is in deltarune, so this just means "man makes fiction" which is what toby is doing anyhow
@johtoprince@ghostvesselmads Yeah but just from a tone perspective having every chapter just get progressively darker is a little boring. Watching everything slowly fall apart in chapter 5 without any of them knowing is setting up for the rest of the game, and Susie's arc would be all messed up
@johtoprince@ghostvesselmads I think generally it's more important for them to know about the prophecy like halfway through the game rather than in the homestretch
@_jokerleo@Humerusskelly Definitely by the end of chapter 4 the casual player is aware of December and probably thinks Carol is the knight, which like. I'm pretty sure wouldn't make the experience any worse for them
@UEVOSrune I remember seeing a theory video saying something like this and it had like a hundred thousand comments of people going "The way you're so confidently wrong"
