I haven’t suppressed any violation. I have admitted it. Since the siren had been mounted, I agreed to take the challan. Since you mentioned no misconduct happened the challan was paid- “Did I have to pay challan on spot?” And how can the officer ask for extra amounts if he had to complete the payment? And also I have clearly mentioned to the responsible officers that I am on my way to appointment and its getting late. Just to be clear,I haven’t mentioned any medical emergency but it was a medical appointment
Dear @HYDTP and @ThirumalagiriPS,
Today I had a very unpleasant experience with traffic police officials at Thirumalagiri. I had recently returned from the US and did not have Google Pay or PhonePe set up on my phone. I was travelling with my elderly grandparents and was taking them for a medical check-up appointment.
Despite explaining the situation and requesting permission to pay the challan online once I reached home, the officers refused and forced me to arrange payment immediately through PhonePe. I had to call someone else and was delayed for a long time, causing us to miss my grandparents’ medical appointment.
Even after the payment was completed, their system had not updated yet. I showed them the payment screenshot, but Officer Ramu Naik still refused to trust me and continued arguing instead of verifying properly.
Citizens should be treated with professionalism and basic respect, especially when elderly people are involved. This experience was extremely stressful and disappointing.
I am also attaching Officer Ramu Naik’s photo for reference and requesting senior officials to look into this matter.

I was stopped for the siren. But it clearly is disconnected. But it had been mounted as the previous owner did not unmount it. But i admit it was my fault still having it mounted and agreed for the challan. But i was forced to pay the challan on spot and he demanded for extra 100-200 if i wanted him to pay the challan thru his UPI. And also the picture was taken to just upload on your records saying that vehicle had siren ignoring the fact that i was already disconnected. Please justify @shotr_trmlgerry@HYDTP@hydtrafficpol
Thankyou for your response @HYDTP. According to the law no officer should force the citizen to pay the challans on spot.
During this process, I was also asked to complete the payment through the officer’s PhonePe account, and an additional ₹100–₹200 was requested as an extra charge for facilitating the transaction. This was unexpected and not part of any official challan procedure. This is nothing but a bribe @MKJTRAFFIC@HYDTP
I request clarification on the correct procedure and that this be looked into, so citizens are not put through such situations and all payments remain transparent and official.
I am willing to visit any police station or office at your convenience for a formal discussion regarding this matter.@MKJTRAFFIC
@TruistNews But your terms say “Offer available only to US residents with a valid US taxpayer identification number.” There is alot of difference between resident and permanent resident. Why do you mislead customers? And why isn’t the banker not aware of this at the bank?
@TruistNews I am resident and I do have valid US taxpayer identification number. To avail this why cant i do it online. Its asking me to visit the branch and when I go they say. I have to do it online. What should I do now?
@TruistNews I am resident. But not a permanent resident. Im on my visa and have my social. I visited the bank in person. They weren’t able to help. Infact they were not even aware of this promotion
