I bought a solar system through a group-buying deal from China that was advertised by Lucy Nyasha Takaedza. She told me it would take two months for the solar system to arrive. The total price was US$1,090, and I paid a deposit of US$495.

After two months, she did not deliver the solar system I had paid for. Instead, she went to a solar company in Harare and took a solar system on credit. She signed an agreement that required monthly payments for eight months.

She then told me that my solar system had arrived and that her team would install it for free. The installation was completed, and I believed it was the solar system I had bought.

It was only after the installation that I found out the solar system was actually on credit. The installers asked for my personal details, and that is when I learned that the system had not been paid for.

When I asked Lucy about it, she promised to sort everything out and take responsibility. After that, she disappeared and stopped answering my calls and messages.

Later, the solar company came to my home to take back the solar system because the monthly payments had not been made.

The Khumalo family in Bulawayo, to which slain United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean mother of two Nothabo Zandile Khumalo and her daughters Natalie and Nala who were recently murdered in cold blood by her husband Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma belonged, has rejected a request by the Tshumas to have funeral proceedings done at their home, family sources say.
A Khumalo family member told The NewsHawks:
"The Tshuma family where Nothabo was married sent a delegation to our home in Gwabalanda last weekend to talk to us about the tragedy that befall us and discuss issues surrounding the murders, including funeral and burial arrangements.
Our family rejected their moves and sent them packing mainly because; first, the families were not in talking terms anyway, second they had not even sent a condolence message to us and third, they had not apologised for the murder of our beloved daughter and grandchildren by their son.
They came last weekend and there was a brief meeting out of respect or Ubuntu, but then we firmly yet politely them to go away because we were not happy with what has been happening; our relationship was already broken down and bad, now the murders and the way they handled the whole situation made things worse.
It was insensitive and disrespectful to come and ask that the funeral and burial arrangements must be handled by them given the situation and under these circumstances.
They can't be the ones burying our daughter and grandchildren. No. We won't allow that."
The Khumalo family is handling the situation from Gwabalanda where Nothabo's parents, Livingstone Khumalo and Velile Khumalo (née Magonya) live.
Attempts to shift the funeral to Waterford in Bulawayo where Tshuma's mother lives failed.
While police investigations in the UK into the murders are still going on and court cases in South Africa are underway, the Khumalo family wants Nothabo and her daughters to be buried in Bulawayo.
The burial is still a long way off as Tshuma, whose real surname is Dlodlo, is still facing court cases over illegal possession of an unlicenced firearm in South Africa and an extradition process for him to be sent back to the UK.
The Great Denham triple murder, a horrific case of familicide that took place on July 3, when Nothabo (42) and her two daughters, Natalie (15) and Nala (5), were brutally killed in their family home by Tshuma, has shocked the world.
As a result, Tshuma (also known as Mark), a 45-year-old British citizen of Zimbabwean heritage, faces three murder charges over the issue.
Relatives, friends and neighbours and community reports point to an environment of intense coercive control and toxicity, with a bitter, unfolding separation or divorce serving as the catalyst for the fatal tragedy.
Tshuma killed his family on July 3 and fled the UK the following day, July 4, arriving in Johannesburg on July 5.
He checked into a Sandton hotel using a pseudonym name for two days until the news of his brutality broke out on Monday, July 6.
After that he checked out of the hotel and went to his family home in Kensington, Johannesburg, where he was arrested in July 10.
On 13 July, he appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates' Court on charges of illegal possession of a firearm and for the extradition process.
He will be back in court on July 22.
