Yesterday, three young Zimbabweans drowned in a sewage pond in the high-density suburb of Budiriro because President Mnangagwa and the Mayor of Harare have failed to build and maintain proper sewage infrastructure in the city. Yet this same President, who has ruralised Zimbabwe through the failure to provide basic urban services and has forced residents to depend on borehole water in cities, now demands a further term extension despite these failures. In fact, he has the audacity to want to be a king in a country he has helped destroy.
But what hurt me the most was seeing our Sub-Aqua divers having to dive into sewage with exposed skin on their faces because they do not have proper bio-hazard dive suits. Are we saying that a country where our President has a motorcade worth over $2 million canβt afford biohazard diving suits for our divers?
@maphanga_T We must not endorse rigged elections and we must not support repression in SADC be it Eswatini, Zimbabwe or Mozambique.
We have a moral duty to push back on the regimes which are doing these things in SADC.

We hear that President Mnangagwa has asked to meet retired and current generals again today. This will be the third meeting they will have in the past month.
It is good for the Commander-in-Chief to meet his generals, especially when a potential national security threat is developing around the Constitutional Amendment Bill 3. As I have said before, CAB3 lacks institutional support from the most important institutions: the military and ZANU PF structures, because it was not passed by Congress; and government itself, because it is being pushed by a parallel cabinet that was created by-past the real Cabinet.
We hope the parties find common ground and the civilian leadership shows nation-building leadership to avert a leadership vacuum that may need to be filled by the military.
So, Madzibaba Veshanduko and family met NC at his offices today, after months being persecuted in prison by the Harare regime.
Someone is not going to like this!
Anyways, in politics, don't use people's struggles to sustain petty narratives.
Let adults tell their own stories.
We are supposed to believe that a President who got 53% of the vote in 2023 has gotten 99% of the people to give him a term extension after three years of not delivering water, healthcare, roads, education and jobs? π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
βΌοΈA warning to all South Africans βΌοΈ
If Zimbabwe becomes a family dictatorship and dynasty of the Mnangagwa family, the influx of Zimbabweans into South Africa will be ten times higher.
The illegal immigration we are all debating about is caused by two corrupt political parties; Zanu PF in Zimbabwe and FRELIMO party in Mozambique.
If we want to reduce illegal immigration in this country we have to address the root causes in addition to:
π₯STRONGER BORDERS and
π₯STRONGER ENFORCEMENT of the immigration act.
Do not ignore what is happening next door because it directly impacts our country.
Do not ignore it because the corrupt Zimbabwean politicians and businessmen now are corrupting our economy and politicians with their cigarette money, gold mafia money and dirty dollars.
These two Zimbabwean crooks are trying to take South Africa down a path of disaster.
We must challenge @CyrilRamaphosa to cut all ties with Zanu PF and strongly oppose the banana republic constitutional amendment to give Mnangagwa endless time in office.
πΈFor context, this is the Hoima City Stadium in Uganda.
Now compare it with that 1980s style embarassment that Govt is parading as a renovated stadium. You half expect road runner chickens to pop out of that dusty erstwhile athletics track.
Itβs a mess.
We need new leaders.πΏπΌ
πΈHow does this improve the lives of the masses? You want to butcher the Constitution, ban elections then pretend to be representing us on the world stage? Itβs preposterous. #NoToCAB3
