Im almost certain that most of us have something going on thats causing our pain and its not “in our heads”. Before the pain I was a healthy, fit, and functioning individual. However of course after chronic pain one develops more anxiety,depression and stress etc…

due to stress/anxiety/diet/lifestyle etc…

I think its just being used as a way to fob us off and not investigate our pain and try and find a cause. They can simply send us away without having to order a scan or use their brains and try and figure out whats wrong.

Drs, Dentists and Facial pain.
It’s not in our heads. Written by someone else.
Does anyone else find it extremely worrying that there seems to be a growing trend in doctors and specialists who believe that there is not a cause for most pain and that its caused by our brains

@GMB @kategarraway I admire you Kate so much for the love and care you gave dear Derek . Carers are in desperate need of help. I’m disabled now then broke my hip 4 years ago which left me to depend on my husband. We are struggling and receive no help at all. I feel a burden to my husband.

@thesoberheathen I’ve been 16 years sober but sometimes I want a drink to just get rid of my pain for a while. I’m disabled broke my hip 3 years ago plus lots of other pains and hip has never healed properly and taken away my independence.

@LibbyMbc Sorry to read this. I broke my neck of femur in 2020 and I’m still in pain and have lost all my independence now. Wishing you the best. Hope your consultant is more caring than mine.
