@MonicaYatooma Scott McMahon can’t call himself a journalist. That is a complete joke. All he does is spread rumor, gossip and hate. He should be slapped with multiple defamation lawsuits.
I normally try not to engage in personal attacks, but Scott McMahon is someone I experienced firsthand during my run for Michigan Secretary of State, and it completely changed the way I view him and his work.
What bothered me most wasn’t disagreement or criticism — that comes with politics. It was the complete lack of ethics and basic human decency. Instead of having honest conversations or verifying information, he seemed far more interested in creating a narrative, whether the facts supported it or not.
After struggling to find any real “dirt” on me, he showed up at my place of business, harassed my employees, harassed me personally, and ultimately published claims that were never properly verified. It honestly felt less like journalism and more like someone trying to damage another person at any cost.
The sad part is that real journalism matters. Credible reporters ask tough questions, verify facts, and care about the truth even when it’s inconvenient. What I experienced was the opposite.
And the irony is that while he spends so much time attacking others, there are plenty of questions surrounding his own background and credibility that never seem to get addressed.
At the end of the day, people can disagree politically — that’s healthy. But destroying reputations with half-truths, assumptions, and fabricated narratives is not journalism. It’s reckless, and unfortunately it’s become far too common.
At this point, it’s hard not to notice the pattern: anyone willing to genuinely fight for their community and challenge the establishment suddenly becomes a target of people like Scott McMahon.
@stephiebeltinck@timlovesann Both Monica Yatooma and Amanda Love have called on you to stop attacking people on their personal lives. I am disappointed to see someone I respect like Tim sharing any of this persons content
