The Ladies of the Batiul Futuh Mosque in Morden have kindly invited us to tea on Wednesday. For those who have been on previous visits to the Mosque it's another chance to meet the Charming Ladies of the Mosque.
For those who have not been before it's a chance to get up close to a very impressive building as well as meeting folks from the Mosque. All are welcome there will be a party of gentlemen also but please let us know you would like to go. Transport from the Guild will be available
The Mayor of Merton visits the Guild.
We were delighted to get a visit from the Mayor of Merton CLLR Slawek Szczepanski and consort Kamilla on Friday 21st March.
With the coffee girls and knitting group in full swing the chatter focused on the History of the Guild and other local issues. With Polish cake and biscuits being available and Paul Tinkling the Ivorys on the Piano it was a fun morning.

Happy Birthday Hamish - The Bingo Afternoon.
Well someone had to celebrate the old Codger Making 71 and many thanks to the Bingo crew for the supply of Cake. A jolly afternoon was had by all. Our bingo Afternoons take place at the Guild on Mondays between 1.30pm till 3pm.
St Patrick's Day Lunch.
A well attended event enjoyed traditional Irish tunes, very bad jokes from Hamish, Tinkling Ivories from Paul the Piano player and genuine Irish Food supplied by Ganley's Irish Bar. Our thanks also to our volunteers who produce a smoothly run event.

Wimbledon High School For Girls.
The Young Ladies of the School concluded their Spring Term visits with an entertaining Easter Quiz. Our thanks to Pat for the very cute knitted Easter Chicks and Bunnies as gifts for the ladies.
Exercise Class - Friday 12.45pm-1.45pm. Holy Cross Church, Douglas Avenue, KT3 6HT.
A mixed seated and standing exercise class delivered by Michela Kent at the Holy Cross Church Hall.
The aim is to maintain and improve mobility, help wellbeing and have fun.
Friday 28th March. At the Guild office in Aberconway Road at 10am till 12.30pm. A lively coffee morning with a group of older people from a wide variety of backgrounds. A friendly and welcoming bunch coming to this event is often the best place to find out about the Guild.
Thursday 27th March at 10am. A one hour active and mixed ability exercise class for older people. There is a £4.00 fee per attendance. Your first visit is free of charge to see how you like it.
Wednesday 26th March 10.30am to 12 noon. A coffee morning with the very fine pianist Paul Carter practicing his tunes in the background. There is no charge (though small donations very welcome.)
