Trains cancelled, internet shut down, students detained.
Is this the New India @BJP4India keeps talking about?
This is nothing less than an undeclared Emergency. You cannot crush people’s voices & call it democracy.

#WATCH | Srinagar, J&K | High drama unfolded in Srinagar as Congress workers staged a dharna against the Election Commission. Police personnel prevented Congress leaders and workers from coming out of the party headquarters, leading to scuffles and heated exchanges between the protesters and police.

Barbed wires, barricades and a heavy police force may try to stop us, but they cannot silence us. We protested in Srinagar against the manhandling of @RahulGandhi Ji and other Congress leaders.
We will not bow down.
We will not stop.

We’re fighting for our people, for their rights and their dignity. The road may be difficult, but we won’t step back. As long as injustice continues, we’ll keep raising our voice.
No fear. No silence. No surrender.
@INCIndia@IYC@kcvenugopalmp@NasirHussainINC@TariqKarra
I strongly condemn the reported incident at GMC Doda. If a student was asked to remove her abaya, it is unacceptable.
Every woman has the right to dress with dignity & choice.
Our Constitution protects her rights. Investigate the matter & hold anyone responsible accountable.
Despite a heavy police deployment and barricades, we stood our ground in the streets of Srinagar alongside @Pawankhera Ji and other senior Congress leaders, raising our voice against the CEC and BJP over Vote Chori.

@tanvirsadiq@TariqKarra Rather than jumping into this issue, you should apologize to the people of Kashmir for your mistake.
The people of Kashmir have always stood with dignity and self respect, and this comment is a slap in the face of Kashmir and the spirit of Kashmiriyat.
@tanvirsadiq
Congratulations to our intern doctors on this well deserved victory.
Your peaceful struggle proved that when the cause is just, no amount of pressure can defeat determination. Proud to have stood in solidarity with you.
#InternDoctors
The intern doctors are exercising their constitutional right to peaceful protest, a right guaranteed by the Constitution of India. Pressuring them & their parents is the least expected from the hospital administration.
Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: Yasir Mandoo, President, Srinagar District Youth Congress says, ''As you all know, the intern doctors of Jammu and Kashmir have been on strike for the past eight days. A doctor’s journey to becoming a doctor requires the support of their family as well as their own hard work. Yet, these students have been forced to take this route to make their voices heard by the government..''
Today, I stood in solidarity with our intern doctors at Press Colony, Srinagar.
Their service deserves respect, and their rightful demand for a fair stipend deserves to be heard.
Their voice is our voice, and their rightful demand must be heard.

J&K Congress holds protest in Srinagar, says the government must address the demands of protesting intern doctors and provide a written assurance on their stipend hike

Without political theatrics, hue and cry or jingoistic posturing, Shri @TariqKarra Sahib took up the genuine concerns of our Intern Doctors directly with Hon’ble Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah Sahib @CM_JnK, rightly placing it before the Government as a humanitarian issue requiring priority intervention and resolution.
Under the banner of @INCIndia, Shri @RahulGandhi Ji has consistently fought to bring the voices of our youth, students, unemployed, employees and organised & unorganised workers from the margins to the centre of our national discourse, compelling governments and institutions to listen to those whose legitimate concerns are too often lost in files and official silence.
In that very spirit,@INCJammuKashmir leaders across J&K have stood and sat with the protesting Intern Doctors, heard their grievances and assured them that their struggle for a legitimate and dignified resolution will not be allowed to remain unheard.
This is not about scoring political points. It is about ensuring that young doctors serving our healthcare institutions are not compelled to struggle indefinitely for what is legitimately due to them.
We earnestly seek the support and intervention of Shri @RahulGandhi Ji to further amplify their voice and impress upon all concerned that this humanitarian issue deserves an immediate, fair and time bound resolution.
When governments/Administrations fails to move the system, raising the voice of those waiting for justice for more than approx 7 years becomes a political and moral responsibility.
Stay assured: @INCJammuKashmir will continue to stand with our Intern Doctors until their legitimate concerns are heard and meaningfully addressed.
VIDEO | Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: Congress delegation led by Salman Soz joins striking GMC medical interns to push for their demands. Salman Soz says, "Behind me here are doctors who are currently doing their internships, and their stipend is a long-standing demand. This is not a new demand. Their monthly stipend is Rs 12,300. Sometimes they have shifts of 36 hours, and sometimes even longer. When these students themselves calculated it, they felt that their stipend works out to roughly Rs 400 to Rs 450 per day. It is a great injustice that the minimum wage across the country is around Rs 9,500 to Rs 10,000. These educated young people have been receiving a stipend of Rs 12,300 since 2019. My appeal is that Omar Sahib, our Chief Minister, hold discussions with them and assure them that, 'We will get this work done for you,' so that they can focus on their work and do their duties. That is why I have come here... to amplify their voice."
