BBC News has just apologised live on air YET AGAIN after one of its news anchors said Israel was “targeting medical teams and Arab speakers” in Gaza. Appalling. Mistakes happen once, maybe twice. These aren’t mistakes. This is institutional anti-Israel bias.
On October 7th, terrorists killed, raped and kidnapped women and children. Some of those children are somewhere in a dark subterranean tunnel, in God knows what kind of condition, if they are even alive. Where are the thousands of marches calling for their humanitarian treatment?
It's almost four weeks since the horrific terrorist attack on #Israel. A lot has happened, the public debate has become heated and confused. Find thoughts from Vice-Chancellor Robert #Habeck in the video, putting the events in context. 📣With English, Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.
The speaker at this takeover of Liverpool Street station in London was from the Palestinian Youth Movement. The same movement that glorified the Hamas attacks. After seeing the Dagestan airport horror how is this not intimidation
The thing here - apart from the that the bit I'm quoting says nothing about ceasefires or demos, and isn't about that - is that many Jewish kids *were* massacred, on October 7th, and no-one - apart from Jews - marched for them.
Me; a Palestinian: "I'm sick of war with Israel. I don't like siege or military occupation or terror or rockets or bombs or music festival
massacres. We should have peace with Israel."
You, a Western leftist: "Fake Palestinian. A real Palestinian opposes Zionism 😡😡🤬"
Moments ago at @SOAS, the antisemitic “From the river, to the sea” chant was heard, alongside: “There is only one solution, intifada revolution.”
Think about how it feels to be a Jewish student on campus right now.
@SOAS, what are you doing about this horrific display?
I try to avoid criticising my former employer. I also support the freedom of opinion writers to write whatever they believe. But it is also my right to say: wow, this is intellectually, historically and morally bankrupt
All of us in the UK who are not Jewish - an immense, an overwhelming majority - have a responsibility in these troubled times to make our Jewish fellow-citizens feel valued & safe. A responsibility that clearly right now we are failing to meet. It shames the country.
The decision by the English FA to not light Wembley Arch in the colours of the Israel flag is a prime example of silencing. My Jewish husband has, over the yrs, tried to explain how it feels being a Jew and I’ve never quite got it until now. Never again - it never went away.
The problem for those still trying to justify Hamas attacks as decolonisation or resistance is the violence described in the reports is not political violence, understood as a straightforward means to an end. It’s gleeful, celebratory violence-designed-to-humiliate violence.
My son is fundraising for CRUK for hius Bar Mitzvah Tzedakah Project Check out his @JustGiving page and please donate if you can. Thank you! #JustGiving https://t.co/2VcriKm9ZJ
At the LJ conference, Breaking Down Walls, my husband and I will discuss the inclusion of families with non- Jewish members inside the LJ tent. We start with our own family. The conference which opens on Friday 30th April looks at all areas of inclusion.
My teenage daughters, on being told that Rege-Jean Page, aka The Duke of Sexington, won't be returning for series 2 of Bridgerton: "Well, what's the fucking point of making it, then? I mean seriously, what's the point?"
