Pernah kepikiran gak kenapa bayi bisa tenang kalau bokongnya ditepuk-tepuk?

Ternyata bukan tepukannya yang bikin nyaman, tapi ada alasan yang jauh lebih dalam dari itu. Yang sebenarnya menenangkan bayi itu adalah ritme keteraturan detak jantung yang udah familiar buat mereka selama 9 bulan di dalam rahim.

Perhatiin deh di videonya. Kalian bisa lihat sendiri janinnya bergerak mengikuti irama detak jantung ibu.

Nah di akhir kehamilan, 95% bayi posisinya kepala di bawah. Artinya bokong mereka ada di area atas perut ibu, yang secara anatomis paling dekat dengan jantung. Jadi bokong itu sebenarnya area tubuh bayi yang paling merasakan detak jantung ibu.

Penelitian menunjukkan suara detak jantung orang dewasa bisa menenangkan bayi baru lahir. Bayi yang mendengar rekaman detak jantung cenderung lebih jarang menangis dan tidur lebih nyenyak.

Penelitian lain juga menunjukkan stimulasi ritmis pada bayi bisa membantu menenangkan mereka. Alasannya karena stimulasi itu meniru sensasi yang dulu dirasakan di rahim yaitu gerakan ibu berjalan dan getaran detak jantung yang konstan.

Jadi kalau lo lihat bayi tenang saat ditepuk pelan atau digendong sambil jalan, itu bukan sulap bukan sihir. Sistem saraf mereka sedang "dibawa pulang" ke sensasi yang paling familiar buat mereka.

A new wave of protests has erupted in Chongqing, China.

The incident initially drew attention when a man was seen sampling large quantities of foods at a Sam's Club and even packing some up to take home. However, it was soon discovered that the man was an animal abuser people have been looking for.

He would adopt puppies under the guise of animal rescue, only to saw off their teeth, cut off their tails, and break their bones at home before posting the footage online, some were posted overseas. He tortured and killed numerous puppies in this manner. I can't show those bloody pictures here.

Many people reported him to the authorities, but China lacks specific laws regarding animal protection.

When animal lovers gathered at the district of his home to protest, the police arrested the protesters instead.

The protests started yesterday and still going on at this moment.
