@Protentialmn@FarazJaka Yes, exactly! This is always my answer when people ask what it takes to be a professional poker player. It’s the ability to balance contradictory things.
@OrevaZSN@JWhitttz I thought the comments would be full of people saying, “Taylor Swift has a song about that,” but since they aren’t, here ya go:
Taylor Swift has a song about that.
@SavagePoker@PokerTDA@PokerGO In order of importance:
-Slide dealing
-Slide mucking
-No card protectors/foreign items
-More time between restarts
-Later restarts
-Validated parking
-No dinner break
-More quick food options
-Women’s Event instead of Ladies Event, and earlier in series instead of near the end.
Have a 12h min turn around time between bagging restarts.
- 1h round trip to make it off or onto property and get home.
- 1h to wind down fall asleep
- 8h to sleep.
- 1.5h to be a human and shower, eat, exercise.
- 0.5h to do some basic errands (email, family, etc)
In some large field Wsop events getting in and out of property takes even longer. Some people eat at end of day or take longer to wind down to sleep.
I feel like I’m meeting more and more people who skip tournaments because they can’t handle the long hours. I haven’t seen data but I’d guess average age of players is older now and besides that it’s just so bad for all of our health to not be able to sleep 8h and get time to eat and exercise every morning.
@AdamHendrix10@WSOP This is the number one reason I wish WSOP was still at the Rio. I understand why out-of-town’ers like it on the strip, but as a local, the Rio was so convenient.
creating a program that is a love letter to figure skating depicting your complicated relationship with a sport that you learned to love again and then going on to perform it at the olympics and winning a gold medal... alysa liu you're one of a kind
@mjdelarue13 When I was 30, I had amazing seats for the Speak Now tour, and she looked DIRECTLY INTO MY EYEBALLS for extended periods of time!!! It will forever be one of the best moments of my life. 💜💜💜
@everaishamore I’m keep reading it to the tune of Tomorrow from Annie.
“I…knew it. I knew you. I love you. I knew it. You’re only a day a…way.” ❤️
(And it is only a day away!)
@platopoker I say yes because:
1) It’s the right thing to do. And,
2) Even if you don’t agree with the above, it’s still win/win in the long run to share info with people who do the same.
