उन्होंने भारतीय न्यायप्रणाली में दो अलग-अलग मामलों में दिखाई गई तत्परता और देरी के बीच के अंतर को रेखांकित किया है।

यहाँ दोनों मामलों से जुड़े तथ्य दिए गए हैं:

1. कैंसर मरीज का मामला (57 बार लिस्टिंग और देरी):

यह मामला केरल उच्च न्यायालय (Kerala High Court) का है। जून 2022 में एक स्तन कैंसर (Breast Cancer) से पीड़ित महिला मरीज ने जीवन रक्षक दवा 'रिबोसिक्लिब' (Ribociclib) को किफायती दामों पर उपलब्ध कराने के लिए एक याचिका दायर की थी।

दुर्भाग्य से, सितंबर 2022 में ही याचिकाकर्ता (कैंसर मरीज) की मृत्यु हो गई।

हालांकि, व्यापक जनहित को देखते हुए अदालत ने इस मामले की सुनवाई जारी रखने का फैसला किया।

जनवरी 2023 से इस मामले को अंतिम सुनवाई के लिए 57 बार लिस्ट (सूचीबद्ध) किया जा चुका है और लगभग 40 बार टाला (Adjourn) गया है, लेकिन अभी तक इस पर कोई अंतिम फैसला या सुनवाई पूरी नहीं हो सकी है।

हाल ही में एक वर्किंग ग्रुप ने इस न्यायिक देरी को लेकर भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश (CJI) को पत्र भी लिखा है।

2. तीस्ता सीतलवाड़ का मामला (अचानक और आधी रात को सुनवाई):
जुलाई 2023 में तीस्ता सीतलवाड़ को गुजरात उच्च न्यायालय द्वारा नियमित जमानत याचिका खारिज होने के तुरंत बाद जेल जाने का खतरा पैदा होते देख
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बेहद तत्परता दिखाते हुए उसी दिन शनिवार की देर शाम/रात को एक विशेष पीठ (Special Bench) का गठन किया और रात को सुनवाई करते हुए तीस्ता सीतलवाड़ को गिरफ्तारी से अंतरिम संरक्षण (Interim Protection) दे दिया था।
लेकिन नियमित सुनवाई आज तक नहीं शुरू हो पाई है।
