BREAKING: Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez rips into the corrupt Republican-controlled Supreme Court by airing their dirty laundry after they rule to strike down President Biden's life-changing student debt relief program.

The progressive icon pointed out that Justice Samuel Alito "accepted tens of thousands of dollars in lavish vacation gifts from a billionaire who lobbied to cancel the student loan forgiveness" meaning that he was quite literally bribed to hand down deranged far-right rulings.

"This SCOTUS’ corruption undercuts its own legitimacy by putting its rulings up for sale," said AOC, perfectly nailing the problem and explaining why so many Americans no longer view the court as legitimate.

AOC could have kept going and mentioned the bribery Clarence Thomas has been taking from Republican billionaire Harlan Crowe, Neil Gorsuch's corrupt property deals, or the fact that Brett Kavanaugh had between $60,000 and $200,000 in credit card debt that mysteriously disappeared right before he joined the court.

There is no denying it. The Supreme Court is bought and paid for by powerful rich Republicans and unless something is done we are going to end up living in a dystopian right-wing nightmare.

Extreme abortion laws have denied the women of our country care even when their life and health were at risk.

Women like Kristen from Texas, who, during her miscarriage, was rushed to the emergency room and was turned away after the hospital consulted with their lawyers about criminal liability under her state’s extreme ban. Kristen only received care after she developed sepsis—an infection that could have killed her.

Women like Anya from Florida, who, after her water broke prematurely, was also rushed to the emergency room. She was told, sadly, that she would lose her pregnancy and she could die. She was also turned away and refused treatment because of Florida’s extreme abortion law. Hours later, Anya nearly bled to death in a public bathroom after a miscarriage.

I know these stories are difficult to hear. And they’re difficult to tell. But there are people every day who are being subjected to judgment, being made to feel as though they should be silent—when in fact they shouldn’t have to have those experiences. We can’t stand for that. We can’t tolerate that. It’s just not right.

While Americans continue to make their voices heard across our nation, President Biden and I will continue to do our part to protect abortion access and reproductive rights.

Some of the same elected Republicans who voted to overturn my student loan relief plan benefitted from thousands in pandemic relief loans to keep their own businesses open.

Those loans were forgiven.

Now, they refuse to extend the same relief to borrowers with student debt.

BREAKING: The Texas Senate has approved a bill that requires all public schools to display the Ten Commandments in all classrooms.

Talk about “grooming our kids,” and “parental rights!” What if there are Muslim children or Hindu children in these schools and their parents want the Bhagavad Gita or the Qur’an displayed in every classroom? What if they don't want their kids seeing the Ten Commandments every day?

What ever happened to separation of church and state? Stop forcing religious beliefs down the throats of our kids! This seems to go against everything covered in our Constitution.
