@HMRCcustomers Hi there, I've just been on the phone to a helpful woman for 30 mins. She was passing me over to a specialist as she couldn't work out what had happened and the line has now gone quiet. It's not cut off but there is no one there? Is there any way I can phone a direct number?

@HMRCcustomers I am trying to speak to someone about my incorrect tax code. I have uploaded my details online but I have not received an update. I was then on hold for 40 mins and no one answered. Is there any way I can email someone or speak to someone directly?

@HMRCcustomers OK I will try this. I have tried phoning on Monday and was on hold for 40 mins - and couldn't get through? And I'll try again with web advisors - again it doesn't seem like there is any available. I'll wait today and see.

@HMRCcustomers It doesnt give an explanation, it says 'The definition of this part of your tax code is as follows:Your tax-free amount for this employment or pension is £6,310.' - I don't understand why it's now half what it was a few months ago?

@HMRCcustomers Hi there. Apologies for another message - surely my code should be back to 1250L, I don't understand why it is now different - 631L? This suggests I am now getting a lower tax free allowance?

@HMRCcustomers It has changed several times. It was 1250L until Feb 2020. Then in March 2020 it changed to BR M1, April 2020 BR, May 2020 BR and online it now says 631L, but my employer still has BR. This is my only job - so I don't know why it changed to BR? And if I will now be due a rebate?
