RADHA ASHTAMI: TODAY 🦚

Sri Radha is a manifestation of Ma Lakshmi and was born on the eighth day (Ashtami Tithi) of Shukla Paksha Bhadrapad.

Sri Radha was born to Vrishbhanu and his wife Kirti (Kamalavati). Vrishbhanu was head of a village Rawal, near Gokul.

As per another belief, Radha's mother prayed to Brahma in her previous birth and asked for a boon.

She wanted to have Lakshmi as her daughter.

Incidentally, Vrishbhanu found a girl child lying on a lotus in a pond. He took the child home and named her Radha.

Kirti was elated but Radha did not open her eyes until she saw Krishna in Gokul.

In some mandirs, Radha's feet that otherwise remain covered for the rest of the year are revealed on this day.

At Barsana, she is called Shri Laadli Lal (means beloved daughter and son).

ऋषिकेश में सुबह 6:00 बजे 1008 यज्ञों की तैयारी की गई त्रिवेणी घाट ऋषिकेश पर मां गंगा के तट पर!

यज्ञ आरंभ होते ही इंद्रदेव को ऐसा #क्रोध आया और ऐसी #जलवर्षा हुई कि, यज्ञ करने वाले सब ढोंगी भाग खड़े हुए।

एक मानव को भगवान बनाने की कोशिश नाकामयाब हुई और नज़ारा बदल गया।
