20 जुलाई को हुए कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी के संसद चलो मार्च पर चप्पल पहनकर, बिना वर्दी के एक व्यक्ति प्रदर्शनकारियों पर डंडे भांज रहा था.

लल्लनटॉप के पत्रकार अभिलाष ने सवाल किया तो केवल सवाल पूछने की वजह से ही रिपोर्टर को लाठी मार दी गई.

इसके बाद पुलिस ने भी लाठी मारने वाले का बचाव किया और बदतमीज़ी करते हुए माइक जमीन पर फेंक दिया.

जब पूरी दुनिया में ट्रंप की मनमानी और हड़प नीति चल रही थी, तब यूरोपीय नेता आँखों पर पट्टी बाँधकर ट्रंप के साथ सुर में सुर मिलाते रहे। अब जब बात खुद पर आ पड़ी है, तब ये बयान जारी किए जा रहे हैं।

यूरोप के प्रमुख नेताओं ने ग्रीनलैंड को लेकर संयुक्त बयान जारी कर कहा है कि आर्कटिक क्षेत्र की सुरक्षा यूरोप और नाटो के लिए एक प्रमुख प्राथमिकता है। उन्होंने संयुक्त राष्ट्र चार्टर के तहत संप्रभुता और क्षेत्रीय अखंडता के सिद्धांतों को दोहराया और स्पष्ट किया कि ग्रीनलैंड उसके लोगों का है। डेनमार्क और ग्रीनलैंड से जुड़े फैसले केवल वहीं के लोग और सरकारें ही करेंगी-बाहरी हस्तक्षेप स्वीकार नहीं होगा।

बयान में अमेरिका को इस प्रयास में एक अहम साझेदार बताया गया है-नाटो सहयोगी के रूप में और 1951 के डेनमार्क-अमेरिका रक्षा समझौते के तहत।
