@22ABZ_@TheColeTrain0 This is like me saying I went to a U-12 game in England and generalizing it to all of football there. Respectfully the few people who go to MLS games are typically cornballs. College sports are exactly what football is in England as far as tradition and culture
@us4cats@winjhox_tim@JonErskine First of all it’s spelled Rhodes pal and I have no idea what your picture is for that’s just blatantly false only 100 are selected a year
@JayhawkTalk Surely that clause can’t actually be enforced. No chance Arizona is getting specific performance the only question is damages. The big 12 stretches nearly coast to coast that’s a massive territory for a quasi non compete.
@primmzx@RoyalsPlsWin He most certainly can lol. Only question is whether he’s liable for damages under that noncompete provision. Assuming his contract is governed by AZ law then noncompetes are actually disfavored unless they serve legitimate business interest beyond just preventing competition.
@manginhoe Yall having "down years" has NOTHING to do with us beating SIEU --> Gonzaga --> Purdue --> Tennessee --> Duke --> to end as the NCAA Men's 🏀 Runner-Up.
We've DOMINATED the Big 12 since we stepped foot in it. Don't 💩 on our accomplishments bc y'all weren't better than us.
@CoachCoog When did I downplay your accomplishments? It’s impressive you made the championship and have won the conference twice but the whole point is you joined the conference at a time when KU was down. All I’m saying is it has been ideal timing for you guys
@M_Bulger19@DevilDJ32 You can’t be serious. Do you think that if he plays other guys can’t also score? No one is saying White would have 22 again but if DP plays and drops 20 and white hits his average of 16 or even just 10 it’s still a net gain of 14 or 8. That doesn’t even consider defense either
@dukeballkn0wer @FrankyWill_@DukeNBA I agree it’s all academic at this point and I agree KU could have won or at least been 50/50 with DP. Of course Duke would have a different game plan and maybe they play better so who knows who wins but my point is just that DP fundamentally changes the game
@dukeballkn0wer @FrankyWill_@DukeNBA There’s no need to falsely quote yourself “then council and white go back to averaging 17 combined with DP playing, so that’s 20 less” I read combined with as in combined with the fact DP is playing not as in they average 17 together combined.
@dukeballkn0wer @FrankyWill_@DukeNBA My bad for incorrectly reading a poorly worded sentence. Regardless the problem is you can’t just straight up substitute points. DP gets them open looks and plays defense. Your entire argument is built on the idea that the same amount of points would be scored as last night.
@dukeballkn0wer @FrankyWill_@DukeNBA Here’s how that match actually works. Real game White 22 + Council 15 = 37
Your hypothetical situation:
DP 20 White 17 Council 17 = 54
KU now scores 17 more points and wins by 5. This is why what you are saying is simply wrong
@dukeballkn0wer @DukeNBA Not automatic that KU would have won but it drastically changes the outlook of the game. For example, we don’t have to start and play our backup big alongside our starter who both get foul trouble, sit last 8 of first half, and Duke then goes on a 21-7 run and we play catchup
@dukeballkn0wer @DukeNBA This has to be one of the dumbest takes yet. If we added DP then sure White might score less but DP also adds points, spacing, defense etc. He changes the game offensively and defensively. Your argument assumes KU is locked in to 66 points and Duke is locked in to 78 lmao
@NixForSix@Mcduffiedpoy So if he said he also lost his voice during the Super Bowl what happens to your argument? Or what if he lost his voice when the Chiefs beat the bills? Then the chiefs have played in 3 super bowls in a season. Unfortunately this is terrible reasoning
@bobdole056@JayhawkApoth@aburks41@That1guyisrad@CBKReport Essentially what you’re saying is out of the past 25 seasons only 5 matter for UConn and 2 for Kansas. So 7 seasons in total out of 25 is all that counts which is illogical because there were another 18 seasons played.
@bobdole056@JayhawkApoth@aburks41@That1guyisrad@CBKReport Well yeah everything I’ve said has been the last 25 years. You’ve had 5 seasons of championships. But that doesn’t just equate to being better for the last 25 years. The question is better program which means you have to factor in everything that goes into being a good program.
