Someone is always trying to put the kibosh on going solar in one way or another. Yes, there is a recycling concern with EUL panels but the recycling industry will get there #reteit#cre#esg https://t.co/rJnwK7HCWq
Why EV chargers + retail?
Dwell time!
Kohl’s found EV drivers, when provided on-premise EV chargers, spent 20 more minutes in store than non-EV drivers. Target found they spent 3x longer in store.

Even if Puerto Rico's new private grid operator develops the 845 MW of solar for which PREPA has already signed contracts, the fuel savings would be nowhere near enough to offset the rate increases needed to pay off PREPA's old debt.

Prominent NY-area CRE attorney just now: “REITs with assets all around the U.S. have now started to realize that when it comes to ESG, the low hanging fruit is rooftop solar.” — I agree!https://t.co/EnupWEUkLy

@_EJJohnston_@BrendanFWallace Here is the link but I notice it leaves out Washington DC, Montgomery County (MD) and the entire state of Maryland. https://t.co/WjEP3JpDcU
If this was a 1-MW ground-mounted solar farm, it would prolly need ~10 acres of land (with service areas, setbacks, other considerations). And it might take years for a grid interconnection. That 100,000-sf flat roof already has an interconnection. It just needs to be upgraded.
If you have a 100,000-sf flat roof, you can likely develop up to 1 MW of solar (where I am from). A 1-MW solar array can generate enough electricity to power 150-200 households and offset more carbon emissions than 26,000 trees. #CRE#retwit

Or you can do what we did, and put that 1 MW on an apartment complex (which was very challenging) and save significant $$$ in operating expenses while offsetting ALL the common area electric use. This is a 500+unit community.
“…reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions is … most likely to impact property value. Investors … pay a premium for buildings with on-site renewable energy generation and/or smart technology to monitor and adjust energy usage.” #ESG#retwit https://t.co/9DcczAz2NO
We love solar carports for large multifamily garden apartments communities!
- sustainability
- covered parking amenity
- ancillary parking income
- pair w/ EV chargers.
Often can be financed off-balance sheet or third-party owned. #retwit#cre#esg https://t.co/odB9DkB7Mv
