Baptist pastor Matthew Olson of FBC Sharon just preached through the entire bible for 96 hours straight, setting an unofficial world record for longest marathon speech.
Watch till the end to see his final words.
From the ages 12-24 I identified as a boy who was tragically born into a girl’s body. And thought I’d feel that way forever.
Now at almost 27, I identify as a crazy cat lady.
Yes, young people really do change their minds about gender.
Repost if you agree.
@TrevorSheatz Thank you Trevor for your bravery and continuing to proclaim the gospel! Along with Rahab, Gomer, and the weeping prostitute, the mockers have also forgotten whom Jesus chose to be the first native evangelist to the Samaritans!
I am stunned and grateful by the overwhelming reach of my wife and I's story of God's redemptive grace.
Sin is serious. If you've ever lied, stolen, gotten unjustly angry, looked with lust, or dishonored your parents, you're headed for Hell (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
But Jesus loves saving the worst of the bunch.
The prostitutes, the drunkards, the gangsters, the outcasts. Those who recognize they're sinners and that their only hope is mercy (Luke 16:9-14).
The gospel brings no hope for good people. There will be no good people in Heaven, only forgiven sinners. This is because "there is no one who does what is good, not even one" (Rom. 3:12). As Jesus said, "No one is good except God alone" (Mark 10:18).
Repent and trust in the living, risen Christ, and you too can be saved, redeemed, cleansed, transformed. There's no other way for your sins to be paid for. You owe an infinite debt that only an infinite God can pay, and good deeds can't wash away your sins (Eph. 2:8-9). But Jesus bore God's wrath on the cross so that anyone who repents and believes upon him won't have to bear God's wrath for eternity in Hell (2 Cor. 5:21).
"For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life...Anyone who believes in him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God." (John 3:16, 18)
"He saved us — not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy...He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:5-7)
“Don’t share your spouses testimony”
My husband came from an addicted and broken home…He learned a lot about drugs and started drinking and smoking at 12 years old. He was also left in an abandoned house with his sister for weeks at a time as an elementary age child. He was made fun of for being the dirty smelly kid, got in trouble a lot and had a lot of issues. …when he left the military he became a heroin addict on skid row in LA and went to jail for drugs plenty before going to 30 detoxes and rehabs up and down the state of CA… to no avail. Tried all the religions and false gods to call his higher power and they had NO power.
THE ONE TRUE GOD JESUS CHRIST made him clean in an instant after he got on his knees and begged the Lord to make him clean and save him.. he felt the weight of his sin and the holiness of God and dropped to his knees…. His Bible opened right up to this verse 👇🏻
Mark 1:40-41 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”
He’s never used again…he’s patient and kind … a wonderful foster father and husband .. a man who submits to Christ.
We will share our testimony as a one flesh union any time we can. He’s free to share mine and vice versa. The one thing he wouldn’t do as a man of God is shame anyone for their testimony because he has been forgiven much as has his wife!
GLORY TO GOD.
Nick Fuentes and Ben Shapiro will find themselves in hell together, receiving the just wrath of God, if they don’t repent of their sins and trust in the glorious atoning work and righteousness of Jesus Christ.
@Phil_Johnson_ A lot of people here are linking to Sacred Harp/Shape-note recordings, which is a beautiful Protestant tradition that remains alive in rural America and few secular clubs/conventions. It’s a form of truly communal singing that should come back to church!
