the fact that they have to provide suicide hotlines in this announcement kinda makes plain the purpose of cancelling the surgeries

[manhlerf ☆ @manhlerf]

my thoughts are with the trans community today. i am appalled. remember that you are loved, even if the government and system tries to tell you you arent.

[manhlerf ☆ @manhlerf]

to offer the suicide hotline after cancelling gender affirming appointments because the system was working efficiently is overly abhorrent and downright evil. they will chip away at trans rights in this country until there are none left to protect.

[Yoshi🏳️‍⚧️ @YoshiTheFirst]

Absolutely disgusted by the recent news that the NHS has paused all gender affirming surgeries in Wales (home country)

The reasoning being “safety concerns” is a load of nonsense and I hope the best comes out of all this.

To anyone effected, stay strong and I love you all 💜🏳️‍⚧️

[Fae Fopa✌️🏳️‍🌈 @ChangelingAO3]

The NHS cancelled all gender affirming surgeries in Wales. Those who had their appointments ripped away from them have been given a suicide hotline instead.

This happened because of transphobic pressure, and people will die because of it.
