Before you sleep, ask God to give you grace during the waiting period. Think about it like a waiting room, and know that God is never late. God sees and hears your prayers and He will heal, provide, lead, and save. While you wait, seek His face, read the word and trust in God.
Socio- economic dynamics are at play all the time. At our school most of the Black moms at drop off are dressed for work. White moms are mostly in yoga pants or gym gear. They will go to gym after this, stop at Woolies, prep for lunch, show up on time for Little Kickers , head home singing with their kids, make dinner and do some homework with their kids. While the Black moms are still stuck in traffic trying to be home to atleast read their child a bedtime story.
Before you sleep, remember that God will always save you from your troubles. Psalms 20:1-2 says, May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary & grant you support from Zion. May God help us.
And when you pray tonight…pray for God’s power to get you out of the fire. Find courage and comfort in knowing that God will get you out of the fire unharmed. The very moment your enemies think you are finished. You shall emerge and rise in glory.
@AusBassie Dear God, tonight I lift up my friend in prayer. Grant them strength, comfort, and guidance in their time of need. Help me to be a source of support and love for them, and may our friendship be a beacon of light in each other's lives. Amen.
And when you pray tonight..pray for a friend in prayer. Friendship is truly a beautiful concept that one should never take for granted. When you have no praying spirit and lack strength, your friend in prayer will intercede on your behalf. Now that’s the highest form of love.
