Some heroes leave the battlefield, but never the hearts of a grateful nation. 🇮🇳
Remembering the Shershah of Kargil, Capt. Vikram Batra (PVC), on his Punyatithi with profound respect and eternal gratitude.
Indian-origin Rushabh Patel gave his life saving two strangers in the UK.
28-year-old Rushabh was enjoying a picnic with his wife Mili and 18-month-old daughter Vrumi when he saw two people struggling in the water near Milton Keynes.
Without hesitation, he jumped in to save them. Rushabh suffered a cardiac arrest during the rescue and tragically passed away days later.
Even in death, he saved 5 more lives through organ donation.
Yet don't expect this story to dominate global headlines. Acts of extraordinary courage by Indians rarely receive the same attention that anti-India narratives do.
A 71-year-old widow in Jaipur got a call from "her bank."
"Ma'am, your account has been compromised. Please share your OTP to secure it."
She shared it.
₹3.8 lakh — her entire savings — gone in 4 minutes.
She went to the bank branch the next morning.
The manager said: you shared the OTP. We are not responsible.
She went home. She stopped eating properly. Her son said she kept saying "maine galti ki" — I made a mistake.
She filed a complaint anyway.
The Banking Ombudsman ruled: the bank's fraud detection system had failed. A transaction of this size, pattern and speed should have triggered an automatic alert. It didn't.
Bank ordered to refund ₹3.8 lakh in full.
She didn't make a mistake. The bank's system did.
A 71-year-old woman blamed herself for 8 months. A court told her she was wrong to do so.
Save this post. If you lose money to a phone fraud — file with your bank in writing within 3 days.
Then file with the Banking Ombudsman at https://t.co/w0a9fmUIpU. The bank's liability doesn't end just because you shared an OTP.
How far can one man go for his country?
Major Mohit Sharma went beyond limits — giving up his identity, entering Hizbul as Iftikhar Bhatt, and living among enemies for months to protect India.
Shot in combat, he still eliminated four terrorists before laying down his life. His Ashoka Chakra tells only a fraction of his extraordinary courage.

An Indian who had been living in Japan for more than a yr noticed something strange : his Japanese friends were polite & helpful, yet none of them ever invited him to their home, not even for a cup of tea.
Confused & hurt, he finally asked one Japanese friend why this was so.
After a long silence, the friend replied, "We are taught Indian history… not for inspiration, but as a warning."
The Indian, astonished, asked, "A warning? Indian history is taught as a warning? Please explain why."
The Japanese friend asked, "How many English ruled India?"
The Indian replied, "Maybe… about 10,000?"
The Japanese person nodded seriously & asked, "At that time, weren’t there over 300 million Indians?"
"So who committed the atrocities on your people? Who followed the orders to whip, torture, & shoot them?"
He asked emphatically, "When General Dyer ordered the firing at Jallianwala Bagh, who pulled the trigger? Was it the English soldiers? No, it was Indians."
"Why didn’t anyone point their rifle at General Dyer, not a single person?" He continued, "The slavery you talk about—this was your real slavery. Not of the body, but of the soul."*
The Indian stood motionless, silent, & ashamed.
The Japanese friend continued, "How many Mughals came from Central Asia? Maybe a few thousand? And yet they ruled you for centuries."
"The Mughals did not rule India through their numbers; it was your own people who bowed to them, obeyed them, betrayed their own, and showed loyalty to the Mughals. Either to survive or for silver coins."
"Your own people converted to their religions."
"Your own people betrayed your heroes to the English. Who betrayed Chandrashekhar Azad? Who informed the English about his hiding place in Alfred Park?"
"Bhagat Singh was not easily executed without the permission of those people (Gandhi-Nehrus) who called themselves patriots."
"You Indians do not need foreign enemies. Your own people repeatedly betray you for power, position, and personal gain. That is why we keep distance from Indians."
"When the English came to Hong Kong and Singapore, not a single local joined their army. But in India, you did not just join the enemy’s army—you served them. You worshipped them. You killed your own people to please them."
"Even today, you have not changed. You have learned no lessons from history. Even for a little free electricity, a bottle of alcohol, or a blanket—you sell your vote, your conscience, and your voice without thinking."
"You chant slogans, protest, but when the country needs your sacrifice, where are you? Your first loyalty is still to your home, family, wife, children, and wealth.
The rest—country —can go to hell."
After saying this, the Japanese left, and the Indian stood there, head bowed, frozen in shame.

On 16 August 2004, 7–8 men stormed Rajiv Kirana Store on Gaushala Road in Siwan and looted the cash counter.
When Rajiv, who was sitting in the shop, protested, they beat him up. Sensing danger, Rajiv’s brother Girish ran into the bathroom, grabbed a bottle of acid, and threatened the attackers: “Run, or I’ll throw the acid.” Hearing this, they all fled.
But within a short time, they returned as a pack. They abducted Rajiv along with his brothers, Girish and Satish. All three were taken to Pratappur. Near a sugarcane field, Girish and Satish were tied to a tree. Rajiv was made to sit aside.
A little later, the then Member of Parliament from the RJD, Shahabuddin, arrived. He set up his darbar on the spot and delivered his judgment: “Give both of them an acid bath.” The moment his order was spoken, his henchmen began pouring acid over Girish and Satish. Both screamed in agony. Smoke rose from their burning bodies. The stench spread in the air. As they writhed and shrieked, not a shred of mercy surfaced in anyone. Rajiv froze, as if the blood had drained from his veins. He went silent. They took him hostage and started demanding ransom from his father, Chanda Babu.
On the third day, Rajiv somehow escaped and reached home. He told his father, Chanda Babu, about Shahabuddin’s brutality. Hearing everything, Chanda Babu was shattered. Shahabuddin’s men had threatened him too, but he steeled his mind and, without caring for the consequences, went straight to the police station.
The station in-charge trembled at the thought of filing a case against Shahabuddin. He tried convincing Chanda Babu how costly it could be to pick a fight with him. Chanda Babu went to the SP. When the SP refused to meet him, he went to the DIG. Only after the DIG intervened was the FIR finally registered at the police station.
The case reached court. Chanda Babu named Shahabuddin as the conspirator. At the age of 70, he stood as a witness. He feared that, like in many earlier cases, Shahabuddin might again walk free. At home, he had his wife and a fourth son who was disabled, and he was responsible for his care too.
Rajiv, the third son and the sole eyewitness, was scheduled to testify in court on 19 June 2014. But before that could happen, on 16 June, he was riddled with bullets and killed.
Shahabuddin was arrested in this case only after the ruling RJD was removed due to President’s Rule. He stayed in Siwan jail only for formality. Shahabuddin ran a virtual empire from jail. His cell was his throne. He conducted meetings, and anyone could walk in to meet him, subject to checks by his bodyguards. Every afternoon at four, he held audience for his subjects, who arrived to meet their Saheb and get their problems resolved, until 2017 when he was transferred out of Bihar to Tihar Jail.
This is just one of the many heinous crimes Shahabuddin committed. The list is very long. He died a natural death during COVID without paying for his sins.
His son Osama has now received a ticket from the same RJD from Raghunathpur in Siwan.
Namdev Jadhav ended his life by jumping from the roof of the district court building in Pune because his land dispute was going on for 27 long years and there was no respite in sight. 27 long years of coming to the court, paying for lawyers, wasting time, keeping life on hold, only to get तारीख पे तारीख! No wonder he chose to kiII himself rather than expect justice in Bharat! Indian judiciary is THE worst, most corrupt, most inefficient institution in Bharat today, and no one can do anything about it!

#WATCH | Delhi: On Pakistan's claim of downing IAF planes in Op Sindoor, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh says, "...their (Pakistan) narrative is 'Manohar Kahaniyan'. Let them be happy, after all, they also have to show something to their audience to save their reputation. That doesn't matter to me."
"...If they think they shot down 15 of my jets, let them think about it. I hope they're convinced about it, and they will cater for 15 less aircraft in my inventory when they come to fight again. So why should I talk about it? Even today, I won't say anything about what happened, how much damage was done, how it happened, because let them find out...Have you seen a single picture where something fell on any of our airbases, something hit us, a hangar was destroyed, or anything like that? We showed so many pictures of their places. However, they couldn't show us even a single picture. So their narrative is 'Manohar Kahaniyan'. Let them be happy, after all, they also have to show something to their audience to save their reputation. That doesn't matter to me."

India observes #PartitionHorrorsRemembranceDay, remembering the upheaval and pain endured by countless people during that tragic chapter of our history. It is also a day to honour their grit...their ability to face unimaginable loss and still find the strength to start afresh. Many of those affected went on to rebuild their lives and achieve remarkable milestones. This day is also a reminder of our enduring responsibility to strengthen the bonds of harmony that hold our country together.
