I find it sad too because I really set out to make a change and raise awareness with my thesis. I really thought my voice could matter in this conversation. But it'll just be another paper to grade.

I do find it kinda weird that the thesis is presented as such a big deal while no one else will really care for your work and input. They say it's all about 'contributing to the academic conversation' but I got told off once for using a master's thesis as a source in my essay.
