the fight of my lifetime. i will never forget this. not a single day of it. we did what i once felt was impossible, and brought them all home
now, we rise 💙
We, the families of the hostages, have been there since October 7, because we had no choice. We had to bring our loved ones home.
You, the staff and volunteers of the Forum, and people across Israel and around the world, did have a choice.
And despite the pain, the exhaustion, and the weight of it all, you chose to stand by our side, shoulder to shoulder, for 27 long, painful months.
People everywhere chose to join the fight to bring the hostages home. Make sure no one forgets their names and faces.
You took to the streets with us and called for a deal that would bring them back.
You were with us in moments of joy and in moments of grief.
After 843 days, with the return of the last hostage, we say thank you.
We brought them home.
Now we rise. 💛🎗️
Buried beneath a hilltop village in southern Lebanon, just kilometers from the Israeli border, the Hezbollah terror group built an underground drone “airbase” from which it launched Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles at Israel.
The subterranean facility, guarded by massive steel blast doors, was built in the past decade with direct Iranian assistance, including planning and funding, Israeli military officials told The Times of Israel during an organized media tour of the site last week.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the tunnel runs several hundred meters into the mountain, reaching depths of 29 meters (95 feet) under Majdal Zoun — including beneath a mosque.
Inside the tunnel, which was wide enough for a standard vehicle to drive through, Hezbollah had assembled Iranian-made drones using parts smuggled into Lebanon, according to the army.
🚨BREAKING: The IDF has announced the elimination of a terrorist who kidnapped Yagil Yaakov from Kibbutz Nir Oz, southern Israel, on October 7, 2023. Yagil was just 12 years old. His brother Or, just 16, was also kidnapped that day. Both were released in November 2023. Their father, Yair Yaakov (59), was murdered on October 7 and then kidnapped to Gaza. He was recovered by the IDF and returned to Israel on June 11, 2025.

An Iranian fan holds a sign asking: “Where is Rashid Mazaheri?”
Rashid was Iran’s former goalkeeper who was abducted by the IRGC back in January after he spoke out against the regime’s senseless killing of protesters
We wont let the world forget 🇮🇷
Ben & Jerry’s Israel, which is based in southern Israel, has launched a new Milk & Honey flavor featuring locally sourced ingredients from the region. More than just a new product, the flavor is a tribute to the resilience and enduring spirit of the communities of southern Israel following the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre. 🍦🇮🇱 @BenJerrysIsrael
Today I had two very different experiences with Uber drivers in Birmingham.
I don’t generally wear my kippah when walking around in England. This morning was no exception.
Upon arriving from London at the city’s Moor Street Railway Station, I was picked up by a driver named Ahmed.
He asked where I was visiting from. I mumbled something about having come from America (technically true; I flew in from New York the other day) and left it at that.
A few minutes later, he commented on the heat and mentioned that he was from East Africa.
In an effort to make conversation, I asked where in East Africa. “Somaliland,” he answered.
I sensed an opening.
“I actually live in Israel,” I said.
“Shalom!” he said, breaking into a grin. “We are friends now!”
We ended up chatting happily about the newly established ties between our two countries. I noted that his president had just visited Jerusalem and he told me that if I ever visit Somaliland’s capital, Hargeisa, I’ll find the streets lined with Israeli flags. “You now have more Muslim friends!” he said.
I asked if he visits home and he said he does, usually via either the UAE or Ethiopia. “Soon I’ll be able to fly through Tel Aviv,” he said excitedly.
When I got out, I expressed the hope that we might meet again in Jerusalem. He said he hoped so too and again said “Shalom!” before waving goodbye.
My journey back to the train, however, was somewhat less cheery.
I ordered an Uber and a driver named Muhammad accepted the ride.
As the app showed him approaching the address, I went outside, forgetting that I still had my kippah on after visiting family.
He pulled up to the curb and waited. I approached the car, about to get in.
As soon as he saw my kippah, however, he abruptly sped up and drove off.
Moments later, the trip was cancelled and the app started trying to find me a new driver.
Two drivers. Two very different experiences.

The wait for 'The Winds of Winter' has officially surpassed the time it took George R.R. Martin to release the first 5 ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ books 📚
Alongside Ahmed Wishah, an Al Jazeera journalist whom Israel accused of being a Hamas operative, today's strike also killed Siba'i Abu Hasna, a member of Hamas' Shadow Unit, the organization’s branch responsible for guarding hostages.
So, ask yourselves what was an Al-Jazeera photographer doing with a Hamas member?

If the pro-Israel side here in Ireland had a 'comedian' repeatedly making 'jokes' about being sexually aroused by the thought of Gaza being bombed, it would be a national scandal. People would react with revulsion - and rightly so.
Yet this 'comedian' has repeatedly 'joked' that he's aroused by the thought of Israelis dying and by Israelis being bombed. He also reposted content about making shoes for Palestinian children from the skin of dead Israels. How disturbing is that!? Seriously.
If this isn't another perfect example of double standards and antisemitism in Ireland, I don't know what is. I don't know any Irish Jew or anyone on the pro-Israel side here in Ireland who would behave like this, and if they did, they would likely be publicly condemned and asked to leave the community.
Yet, we're repeatedly told to 'name one example of antisemitism in Ireland, I'll wait.' It's beyond a joke at this stage. One positive in all of this is that these people are exposing themselves publicly, so we don't have to, but imagine what it's like to live here at the moment!
And yet, many on the pro-Palestine side here either laugh along with this sick and twisted individual or try to explain away his behaviour.
The Palestinian people should reject people like this, who are obviously using them for their own agenda, whether that's making money, attracting attention, or incorrectly projecting our conflict with Britain onto their one. In my view, they have cheered them towards destruction and are in no position to look down on or judge anybody else.

He has been found guilty in Israeli courts of eight offenses, including rioting, obstructing a police officer, incitement to racism, possession of propaganda material for a terrorist organization, and support for a terrorist organization." -- @issacharoff:
