@hu_yifei Are all 8 GPUs from a single machine?

If so, it could be a provisioning error of H100 NVL vs H100 HGX machine from the provider. You could sanity check with “nvidia-smi topo -m”. Other issue could be diff in I/O capacities

If not, it might be a networking issue (IB vs Eth).

I respect rejecting if one’s asking for more than your budget.

However, if the candidate’s capable & market pays that for the role, why shouldn’t they ask for it?

How is candidate’s current pay relevant, except to continue underpaying?

This Indian hiring norm has to go out!

A guy we interviewed for a tech role was getting Rs. 8 LPA and asked us for Rs. 19 LPA!! Dreaming big is ok but asking for such a big jump without being able to justify it kills one's chances of getting selected. Maybe such candidates are happy in their current role and will only switch if they get a big hike.

Sadly, there’re no comparable products in India. These have 20g protein & only 190 Kcal. The closest I could find in here are MB bars with 20g protein but > 250 Kcal & tastes’ a question.
Other protein products have made large strides in India, it’s time for protein bars now!!

Got these high protein low calorie bars from the USA. Tastes fantastic and high quality. Excellent option to have during a hardcore hectic outpatient when I don't have time for a proper lunch. I tried many protein bars made in India and all tasted like chewing on newspaper or cardboard. Utterly disappointed. Why can't we make stuff like these here?

@chiragbarjatya Got LASIK 2 years back. One of the best decisions of my life. No side effects or problems so far. Recovery took longer for me due to high power correction (-9D).

One minor issue: Clarity in low light is slightly worse due to my abnormally large pupils when dilated.

@theliverdoc I’m also against fasting for any reason other than calorie restriction. Although useful, I would not put a lot of weight on this study, given it’s an observational study, has many limitations & goes against the existing literature showing fasting has almost no-effect +ve or -ve.

That's not how face recognition algorithms work lol 😂
I guess they're talking abt object detection here.
In FR systems, using object detection algos is inefficient. They mostly use direct face detection algos instead. So, the adversarial patches on our clothing shouldn't matter.

Either the visa rules should change for such events in the US (improbable) or we should hold confs in more friendly places like, EU/Asia, Eg: ICCV23 in Paris
