Brain is a muscle.

At young age, you enrolled in a few mental gyms - school, entrance exams, college, entrance exams, 1st 2 years of work. You built that muscle by regular gymming.

And then corporate life matured, it required you to just repeat the same stuff. Experience & familiarity could do the job. Your brain didn’t need to lift weights everyday. You simply hired people who would lift the weights for you. You would never do that for your biceps would you?

No matter how large a team you manage, always remain an Individual contributor at heart. Keep lifting weights.
