Dipankar Bhattacharya is a name that is known to quite a few who follow Indian politics. He is currently the General Secretary of the CPI(ML) Liberation Party. The party has a small presence in two pockets of Bihar. Dipankar Bhattacharya's academic career is remarkable. The first student of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission in matriculation in 1969, he did his M.Stat from the Indian Statistical Institute. In personal life, his wife, Kalpana Wilson Bhattacharya and daughter, Ananya, live in London. Both his wife and daughter work in multinational companies. But Dipankar Bhattacharya has no objection to that. In this context, highlighting another form of hypocrisy, he said, "I will not be bothered if someone else joins a multinational company. Because I think it is a job that anyone can do. I know that those who work in multinational companies also sometimes leave their jobs while doing that work. Sometimes they do a lot of work for people from there."

Dipankar Babu also said that his wife followed the ideology of the Left (Karl Marx knew how to do it), and his daughter was probably the youngest member of the editorial board of a newspaper called Red Paper. Recently, she played drums in Scotland for seven hours.

A few days after this interview, Dipankar Babu held a small procession in Patna, where he told journalists that he would forever struggle against the multinational companies of Ambani-Adani. Isn't that funny?

I heard that Dipankar Babu once expressed his displeasure about the activities of the French Workers' Party. It was pretty funny. At one point, Karl Marx himself was so annoyed by the activities of the Workers' Party that he was forced to say that if they were Marxists, then he was not. To be more specific, Marx's son-in-law was Paul Lafargue. He was married to Marx's second daughter, Laura Marx. He was Cuban-French by nationality. But Marx was annoyed by the socialist understanding and activities of the French socialists, including his son-in-law. He used to severely criticise his son-in-law, daughter, and the French socialists of that time, calling them "revolutionary peddlers". It is in this context that Marx's famous statement, "Ce qu'il y a de certain c'est que moi, je ne suis pas Marxiste" (What is certain is that I am not a Marxist). We learn about this statement from Engels' letter to Bernstein on 2 November 1882. This statement was born out of intense anger at the work of the French Workers' Party. That is, if the work of the French Workers' Party is Marxism, then he is not a Marxist.

The fact is that Liebknecht and Bebel could not grasp how Marx and Engels viewed their Gotha Programme. At Engels's behest, Kautsky published this work of Marx in the SPD magazine Neuzeit. Although Marx was dead at the time.

After many obstacles, Engels' famous critique "Anti-Dühring" was published in July 1878, in a shortened form. Dühring's completed critique was published in 1880 under the title Socialism, Imaginary and Scientific. This book was later to become a landmark in the socialist movement, a leading textbook.

France24’s focus on the Cockroach Janta Party is extremely interesting. I believe their journalists were present at Jantar Mantar today too.

I have a little hitherto untold story about their anti-India and anti-Modi propaganda is. The story is from 2023 and a UNESCO event.

In 2023, a UNESCO event was meant to be held in Paris. Its focus was the safety of women journalists. I was invited as a speaker.

A preliminary discussion was held (this is after my tickets were booked) with a France24 journalist for “onboarding” - this was at the organisers behest.

During the discussion, this France24 journalist from Turkey asked me how I had been persecuted. I spoke extensively about my West Bengal experience.

She asked me if I held Modi responsible. I told her that I was persecuted by Mamata Banerjee, an opposition leader. I told her about the rampant violence in India by Islamists and how, while a Samuel Patty becomes international news, a Kanhaiya Lal doesn’t.

We spoke about the UNESCO report “chilling” and I told her how it’s not representative of India or women journalists. Not only does it not mention India, but it focuses on a handful of women journalists, not the unnamed, unseen hundreds.

Throughout the conversation, she repeatedly wanted me to blame Modi. I didn’t. Throughout the conversation she asked me about how violence had increased after Modi came to power. I asked her how Modi could be held responsible for violence by those radical elements who opposed him and wanted to break India up.

I was told by @rahulroushan that I erred. I shouldn’t have been so forthcoming at the outset, but at the event itself.

He was right. The event was supposedly cancelled.

I was informed informally by some ppl in the know that the France24 journalist and Muslim organisations had rallied to get me uninvited. Since that wasn’t possible without it turning into a PR nightmare, they cancelled the event.

It’s truly easy to become an international face. Just abuse modi. That’s precisely what this is about. And this experience is how I know just how spineless people like Saurav Das are. They sold their country for 15 seconds of fame and money.
