इससे नागरिकों की पहचान संबंधी जानकारी अधिक स्पष्ट होगी तथा विवाह, मैट्रिमोनियल वेबसाइटों और अन्य सामाजिक प्रक्रियाओं में पारदर्शिता बढ़ेगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, विवाह संबंधी धोखाधड़ी, गलत पहचान प्रस्तुत करने तथा एक से अधिक वैवाहिक स्थिति छिपाने जैसे मामलों को रोकने में भी सहायता मिल सकती है।
साथ ही, यदि कोई नागरिक चाहे तो सत्यापित विवाह पंजीकरण के आधार पर अपने पति/पत्नी का नाम डिजिटल रिकॉर्ड में अपडेट कराने का विकल्प भी उपलब्ध कराया जा सकता है।
