Braving the monsoon rain, the Sea of Patriots on the streets, holding the National Tricolour high, proved once again that the soil of West Bengal remains deeply rooted in Nationalism, devotion and reverence for our Motherland. I am pleased to share that the State Cabinet has approved the introduction of a simplified and enhanced "Composite Transfer and Packing Grant", replacing the decades-old Transfer Grant and Packing Allowance system:-
* Financial Relief: Lump-sum grant of up to ₹50,000 or 80% of Basic Pay, sanctioned without requiring receipts.
* Coverage: Full rate for transfers of 30 km or more involving relocation; one-third rate for transfers under 30 km.
* Retirement Support: Extended to retiring employees settling in a new location.
* Timeline: Effective from June 1, 2026 for transfers and May 31, 2026 for retirements.
