@akshaymarch7 Imagine following every rule for 5 years and still your youtube channel stays offline while others wait. You’d ask if it’s pure process or someone’s interest. That’s Starlink: security is real, but 5 years+is too. Compete on price & tech. Blocking the option hurts users.
@Dhruv_rathore@malpani@Starlink "hostile foreign company"? Wherever you are sitting, look around. Tell me how many products do you see, please list, made by "home grown companies". Safety security arguments are all going to go away once Jio/Airtel are ready to launch.
@MajorSammerToor Agreed: the dark side is the radio link, not the logo. So the registration, geofence, and no-single-foreign-switch rules apply to Jio Satellite and OneWeb on the same terms as Starlink. Otherwise this is a brand argument.
@JaydevB4@malpani@elonmusk Saying are those, holding a phone not owned by an Indian company, on a platform not owned by an Indian. Truth is harsh. Innovate and talk.
@malpani@Starlink@elonmusk Jio Platforms’ own DRHP, filed June 2026:
Reliance 66.43% Meta 9.98% Google 7.73% Then KKR, Saudi PIF, Vista, Silver Lake, Mubadala, ADIA, General Atlantic, TPG.
Non-Reliance holding is about 33.6%, almost all foreign. Meta + Google alone are 17.71%.
That is the company.
@TeslaClubIN@Tesla_India you planning to file an objection to this policy? 30L cap is bound to benefit certain companies only. If the purpose of RT exemption is to speed up EV adoption, then capping it at 30L doesn’t make any sense. Exemptions should either be for all or none at all.
