Informing an individual's family during interrogation or detention is a legal mandate, not an optional courtesy.

​Yesterday, I was taken for interrogation after my morning walk under the assurance that it would take very little time. However, as the hours stretched on, my repeated requests to inform my wife of my whereabouts ,the concerned Police Officials/Officer simply stated they were "following instructions."

​I was only permitted to make a call at 6:38 PM, leaving my family & friends in total panic the entire day.

I request that you issue clear instructions to all units directing officers to strictly uphold the legal duty of immediately informing the family of any person taken for interrogation , so that no citizen’s family has to endure the distress that mine suffered.

Surprised to see NDTV taking out a sentence from my byte to ANI to give an impression that I support terror and defending A-Falah.
Read the byte quoted below and linked - I say that Madanis statement that muslims are targeted as a general statement is different, but in specific cases like Al Falah you cannot apply a general statement, and here I call for NIA to conduct its inquiry. I again repeat that the context of l-Falah is different from the general point that minorities are being targeted

Sometimes, people associated with it feel they're being treated unfairly... There aren't any Muslim MPs in the BJP... Many capable people who believe in Islam or have names that suggest they are Muslim sometimes feel frustrated. It is true that this is being felt. Just as there was a time when the Scheduled Castes and Dalits were directly mistreated and discriminated against, that feeling has started to spread in society.
