@Thilak AI provides easy discreet access to people in these matters, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they can get reliable support. It’s very unfortunate. When systems fail, accountability is an aspect that needs to be taken much more seriously than it is today

I’m all for AI. I built AI products myself (and these aren’t API wrappers). But next token predicticting LLMs (aka “AI”) are no substitute for a trained therapist.

There are multiple cases of people who need human help but instead went with an AI chatbot and were driven to suicide.

This is no laughing matter. Human lives are priceless. Grifters are gonna grift, but we mustn’t put our greed ahead of our humanity.
