From Ngora, together with the NRM leadership, we proceeded to Kumi District. I salute the people of Teso for working with the army to restore peace. I personally camped at Nyero Rocks during the insurgency, and after peace returned, I directed that a full primary school be built there. That is how, through cooperation and NRM’s clear ideology, we brought lasting peace to Teso.

After peace came development. We repaired and tarmacked key roads including Tororo–Soroti, Soroti–Kumi–Kamdini, Katakwi–Moroto, and Tirinyi–Pallisa–Kumi. Funds are already secured for the Kumi–Ngora–Serere–Kagwara–Bugondo road. Electricity now covers most of Kumi, with plans to extend to the remaining sub-counties, and the Lake Kyoga Gravity Flow Scheme will serve four districts.
