こう競技スケジュールが大幅に変わると各国ナショナルの時期もそれに合わせて変更もあるだろし、スケーターもファンも学業や仕事のスケジュールに影響出てくるだろうし、何より現役のオフシーズンが短くなることもいろいろと問題も出てきそう。どうなることやらだわね。

ワールドを4月に持ってくると、次のシーズンのプログラム作成は遅れるし、選手が十分に休養を取る期間も減る。新しい技の習得に費やす期間も減る。ワールドに行く選手ほど大変になるだろな。

From convos I’ve had here, the proposed schedule from 2027-28 would spread out the season a bit more:
+ Challengers happening from Sep-Feb
+ 6 GPs in Sep-Nov (with 2 each month)
+ GP Semifinals in January, GP Finals in February
+ Euros and 4CC in March
+ Worlds in April

For 2027 Four Continents, the location is still under discussion, and will be decided at one of the next ISU Council meetings

I chatted with a few people about this - they recognize that only a few cities in the world can host something like this, so in a lot of ways, this is a test to see if/how it works out

I'd imagine the Combined Worlds idea is to simulate an Olympics atmosphere for the 4 sports branches of the ISU - they want it to take place in a location where you can experience everything at the same time

2028 Combined Worlds will be held in National Speed Skating Oval, Capital Indoor Stadium, and National Indoor Stadium - my guess is that means figure skating / synchro will not be in the same rink as short track speedskating
