Gutted. Thaer al-Rahal was one of 750 migrants who boarded a trawler & ended up in one of the Mediterranean's deadliest shipwrecks. He needed to get to Europe to earn money to save his 4 yr old Khalid, who has leukemia & needs a bone marrow transplant. Thaer did not survive. 💔

Folic acid doesn’t prevent 100% of cases, it was warned as a risk if not taken & a lack does not cause this type of spina bifida.
